Westarctica, Inc. is managed by a small executive team with more than 30 dedicated volunteer representatives operating in 17 countries around the world. Our organization's activities and strategic vision are goverened by a board of directors.
Executive Director, CEO
Travis founded Westarctica in 2001 and has tirelessly campaigned for the past 20 years to raise awareness of the fragile state of Western Antarctica. Travis studied Anthropology and Theater Arts at Bloomsburg University and graduated from the CoRe program at Harvard Business School.
Deputy Executive Director, COO
Jordan joined Westarctica's executive team in 2018 as our Membership Director and was subsequently invited to join our board of directors after assuming the role of Chief Operating Officer. He has comprehensive knowledge of non-profit fundraising and financial management and has worked with Native American tribes in the Midwestern United States.
Dr. Sanders studied Zoology and Environmental Science/Management at Michigan State University and was awarded a Ph.D in Biology from the University of Notre Dame for work in conservation genetics of salamanders. She has worked with many different non-profits, and has spent the last three years working for a national center, where she teaches the national community of biologists computation and genetics techniques.
