Hereditary Noble Titles
One of the oldest traditions in all of  Westarctica is the creation of noble
titles.  Since our earliest days, Westarctica granted special titles and
privilege to those who have served the Grand Duchy with honor, distinction,
and valor.

Sadly, we are all  mortal. Few things in this life are safe from the ravages of
time.  The Hereditary Noble Title system allows an opportunity for the
Grand Duchy of Westarctica to honor an individual for generations after
they leave this life.

The rules of the system are quite simple.  A great deed earns a great title.
The title may be inherited via the traditions followed be the original grantee.
However, if a ruling Grand Duke feels an inheritor may bring shame and or
dishonor to the family of the grantee, the Grand Duke may refuse to
acknowledge a title until a better candidate from the grantee's line
becomes available.

Claims are validated only by the ruling Grand Duke (or Duchess) of
Westarctica.  No external legal system may interfere with the Domestic
System of Honors.

Those worthy of such a great honor need only ask.
